Analysts Expect HP Inc.’s Revenues to Rise 9.5% in Fiscal Q2 2018

Average revenue estimate of ~$13.6 billion in the fiscal second quarter

HP Inc. (HPQ) is expected to announce its fiscal second-quarter results, which ended in April, on May 22. Analysts expect HP Inc. to post revenues of ~$13.6 billion in the fiscal second quarter, representing a 9.5% YoY (year-over-year) increase from its revenues of ~$12.4 billion in the fiscal second quarter of 2017. Wall Street gave the company a high revenue estimate of ~$14.1 billion and a low estimate of ~$12.9 billion in the fiscal second quarter.

Analysts expect HP Inc. to post non-GAAP1 earnings per share of $0.48 in the fiscal second quarter. They gave a high EPS estimate of $0.49 and a low estimate of $0.47 for the stock. In the fiscal second quarter, analysts expect HP’s EPS to rise 20.0% YoY from $0.40 in the fiscal second quarter of 2017.

HP Inc. beats estimates

As shown in the chart above, HP Inc. has beaten analysts’ EPS estimates in three of the last four quarters. In the fiscal first quarter of 2018, HP Inc. reported earnings per share of $0.48, which were 14.3% higher than analysts’ estimate of $0.42.

HP Inc. posted EPS of $0.43 and $0.4, respectively, in the fiscal third quarter of 2017 and the fiscal second quarter of 2017. In these quarters, its earnings per share were 2.4% and 2.6% higher than analysts’ estimates, respectively. HP Inc. met analysts’ EPS estimates of $0.44 in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2017.
